You're at capacity. You're turning away clients. You know it's time to hire... but the thought of becoming a "boss" feels overwhelming. What if you choose wrong? What if you lose control of your practice's quality? What if growing means losing the magic that makes your work meaningful?
There's a path forward—one that honors both your clinical excellence and your desire to serve more people. And it starts with leadership.
You Weren't Trained for This
You spent thousands of hours learning to be an exceptional therapist. You can hold space for the hardest emotions. You can navigate complex trauma. You can create profound healing.
But nobody taught you how to:
Interview and hire aligned clinicians
Delegate without micromanaging
Make business decisions quickly and confidently
Set expectations without being controlling
Have tough conversations about performance
Lead a team while maintaining clinical excellence
And now you're supposed to just... figure it out? While seeing 30 clients a week? While managing all the admin? While not burning out?
The truth: Being a great clinician doesn't automatically make you a great leader. Leadership is a different skill set—one you CAN learn.
The Cost of Staying Stuck
If you stay in decision paralysis about hiring, here's what happens:
.webp)
To your income
You hit your income ceiling. You're trading time for money with no room to grow. You watch other therapists build thriving practices while you stay stuck at the same revenue year after year.
.webp)
To your impact
You turn away clients who desperately need help. Your waitlist grows. People suffer while you stay small out of fear.
.webp)
To your wellbeing
The resentment builds. You work harder for the same money. You cancel vacations because there's no one to cover. You start wondering why you chose this profession.
.webp)
To your practice
Without a clear leadership foundation, your first hire becomes a disaster. You overwork yourself trying to 'fix' them. Or you avoid the problem, let standards slip, and damage your reputation.
You didn't build this practice to stay stuck, overwhelmed, and alone.

There's a Path from Solo to Leader—And I'll Walk It With You
The Practice Leader's Path is a 6-month leadership development program designed specifically for solo therapists ready to grow.
This isn't a generic business course. This isn't "10 marketing hacks to fill your caseload." This is deep, transformative work on the INNER game of leadership—the mindset, skills, and frameworks you need to hire confidently, delegate effectively, and build a practice that reflects your highest values.
You'll learn:
How to make hiring decisions from clarity (not fear) in weeks, not months
How to interview for values alignment—so you attract clinicians who share your mission
How to set clear expectations and boundaries as a leader (without being controlling or passive)
How to delegate without micromanaging (and trust your team to do excellent work)
How to navigate conflict and give feedback with confidence
How to scale your income while working FEWER clinical hours
How to measure success by both impact AND revenue
More importantly, you'll become:
A practice leader who makes decisions with integrity. Who builds a team you genuinely trust. Who creates a workplace culture that reflects your values. Who grows without guilt, leads without apology, and serves more people without burning out.
Your 6-Month Journey
The Practice Leader's Path follows a proven progression—from identity to implementation. Each month builds on the last, moving you from "I'm just a therapist" to "I'm a confident practice leader."

Dr. Debra Dantzler
I'm Dr. Debra Dantzler, the chief geek at G33ky Clinicians, LLC, and I've walked this exact path you're on.
In 2016, I entered full-time private practice as a solo clinician. Like you, I reached capacity quickly. Like you, I felt the pull to serve more people—but also the fear of losing control, of making the wrong hire, of compromising the quality I'd worked so hard to build.
I made the leap. I learned leadership the hard way—through trial, error, and a lot of uncomfortable growth. Today, my group practice, 3d Psychotherapy, LLC, consistently earns multiple six figures per year. But more importantly, I've built a team that shares my values, serves our community with excellence, and allows me to make the impact I always envisioned.
About three years ago, I started G33ky Clinicians because I couldn't keep this knowledge to myself. I'm passionate about seeing all clinicians thrive, grow, and enhance our profession. My personal philosophy—"if you're not learning, you're dying"—has driven me to be a lifelong learner and teacher. Now, teaching developing clinicians and practice owners is my greatest passion.

I believe in abundance, collaboration over competition, and that a rising tide raises all boats. This "givers gain" belief system is what drove me to create The Practice Leader's Path.
I've walked this path. I know the fear of hiring wrong, the guilt about wanting to grow, the overwhelm of doing everything yourself. And I've learned that leadership isn't about having all the answers—it's about having the skills to navigate with clarity, make decisions with confidence, and build something that honors both your values and your ambition.
When I'm not coaching practice leaders, you'll find me in nature, rejuvenating and remembering why this work matters so much.
Investment in Your Leadership
The Practice Leader's Path is a significant investment in your future—and your practice's future.
Is this a lot of money? Yes. And here's why it's worth it:
If you hire ONE clinician who:
✓ Sees 20 clients/week at $150/session
✓ You take a 30% administrative fee
✓ That's $900/week or $46,800/year in additional revenue to your practice
This program pays for itself in 3-4 months of your first hire working at capacity.
But more importantly: A bad hire costs you 2-3x their salary in lost revenue, damaged reputation, and emotional drain. This program ensures you hire RIGHT the first time.
And it gives you the leadership skills to scale from 1 hire to 3, from 3 to 10—building the practice you've always envisioned.
My Promise to You
I'm so confident in The Practice Leader's Path that I offer this guarantee:

If you complete all 6 months, implement the frameworks, and don't make meaningful progress toward confident hiring and leadership—I'll work with you 1:1 for an additional 3 months at no charge until you do.

This only works if you're truly committed to growth. But if you show up, do the work, and trust the path—you WILL transform into the leader your practice needs.
Frequently Asked Questions
I'm not sure I'm ready to hire yet. Is this still for me?
If you're 6-12 months away from hiring, this is PERFECT timing. You'll build your leadership foundation before you need it, so when it's time to hire, you'll move quickly and confidently. If you're 2+ years away, this might be premature. But if hiring is on your horizon and you're already feeling the pressure—start now.
What if I've already hired someone and it's not going well?
This program will help you navigate that situation with clarity. You'll learn how to have difficult conversations, set clearer expectations, and decide whether to course-correct or part ways. Many participants join because their first hire was rocky—and they don't want to repeat those mistakes.
I'm worried I don't have time for a 6-month program.
I hear you—you're already stretched thin. Here's the truth: staying in indecision about hiring takes MORE energy than moving forward with clarity. This program gives you back time by helping you delegate effectively. Most participants report working FEWER hours by month 4-5 because they've hired and delegated successfully.
How is this different from a business coach or consultant?
Most business coaches focus on tactics: marketing, client acquisition, revenue goals. That's valuable—but it doesn't address the inner game of leadership. This program focuses on WHO you need to become to lead effectively. The mindset shifts, the emotional skills, the conscious leadership frameworks. Once you have that foundation, the tactics are easy.
Do I need to be certified in Conscious Leadership to benefit from this?
Not at all. I'll teach you everything you need to know about conscious leadership as it applies to growing your practice. This isn't an academic program—it's practical application of proven leadership principles to the specific challenges therapists face.
What if I'm in a different state/country? Will this work for me?
Yes! The leadership principles are universal, though some tactical elements (contracts, employment law) may vary by location. The group includes therapists from across the U.S. and internationally, and we adapt as needed.
Can I join if I'm planning to hire admin/support staff instead of clinicians?
Absolutely. The leadership skills apply to ANY team member. While many examples focus on hiring clinicians, the frameworks work for admin staff, virtual assistants, billing specialists, etc.

The path from solo to leader is clearer than you think. And you don't have to walk it alone.
